The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Brooklyn

Sometimes you just get amazingly fun photography jobs!   Taking photographs of the  The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Brooklyn was one of those fun and amazing jobs.  The UOGB  asked me to tell their story in a couple of photographs. So first question who are they and whats there story.
Well they are 4 actors/singers/artists performing the play "Missionary in Manhattan" a Mormon Musical.   for the Dream Up Festival at Theater For The New City.    Writers and creators Elizabeth May, Caitlin Davis have recruited 2 great actors/singers Dave May and Lily Narbonne to tell the story of 3 Mormon Sister Wives who have been abandon by their husband in New York City.   The sister wives Elizabeth May (Sister Bunny Catherine),  Caitlin Davis (Sister Gretchen),  Lily Narbonne  (Sister Fanny) tell their story though music, song and have a little history lesson mixed in.  Thats the short of it.  So now the photo.      To tell the story I chose something iconic that says both New York and Brooklyn what else is there but The Brooklyn Bridge.     The day I spent on the Brooklyn Bridge with these 3 sister wives was amazing. There are so many people walking, running, biking across the bridge every day and everyone wanted to stop, taken in by the sister wives charm.  Every passer by was welcomed by them to listen to their songs and encouraged to take out their cameras to snap a picture.      This was an amazing day and these 3 woman are talented and funny.   Please go see them one of the funnest Mormon shows in NYC. schedule and location here.   Or read the rest of the story in Playbill or Theater Mania
